  • Carefully read through the entire guide to understand the steps involved in IP registration.
  • Pay attention to key requirements, timelines, and documentation needed at each stage.
  • Prepare Your Invention Disclosure
  • Complete the invention disclosure form as per the instructions in the guide.
  • Include detailed descriptions, drawings, or diagrams of your invention to illustrate its novelty and utility.

Stage 1:

Screening and evaluation committee. In this stage, the committee assesses the following:

  • The extent to which the application meets the conditions and criteria for applying for a patent/production.
  • Initial search engine research.
  • Initial Inventorship analysis, and commercial evaluation.

Stage 2:

After completing the evaluation and recommendation processes regarding whether or not to accept the registration of the application, the recommendations are presented to the Intellectual Property Advisory Council for approval and ratification.

Stage 3:

After the application for registration of the patent/classification is accepted by the Intellectual Property Advisory Council, the application sent to attorney for following:

  • Prior Art Search, Patent Application Drafting and Filing
  • Draft of Patent Application (a technically and legally written application as prescribed by the concerned Patent Office with inputs from the inventors).
